stylish tone on tone Christmas card

Hello my fellow crafters, welcome to my blog. After the lovely vintage Santa card, we made last week I wanted to keep things a bit cleaner and simpler for this card. I am using the Tim Holtz winter watercolor 2 set again for this card but in a completely different way. This time I am just using 1 color of ink to create a sort of watermark effect on the card base.  That combined with some vellum and circle dies and this card is already done. Well… that could have been… Read More

Stunning Vintage Santa Christmas card

Hello my fellow crafters, welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing the next card in my 2021 Holiday series. In this blog I am really putting the Tim Holtz 2021 Christmas release to the test! And I absolutely LOVE how this vintage Santa card came out. I don’t want to send it out! (But I will…) The vintage feel in this card really brings you back in time. And these stamps from Stampers Anonymous make it so easy to do it. (I am not sponsored…just an enthusiast). For this card… Read More

In love with this pretty watercolor Christmas card!

Hello my fellow crafters, welcome to yet another blog. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz 2021 Christmas collection and that is what I will be using in this Blog.  If you don’t know it yet… I am a bit of a Tim Holtz addict. I love the vintage feel that his stamps provide, even in the bold tidings, that combine a bold, modern sentiment with a vintage feel. This is the first time using these but there will be more. I also… Read More

WOW effect on this two toned card

Hello my fellow crafters, welcome to my blog. In this blog I am taking the technique I used in my one of my previous blogs https://inspirationforcards.com/2021/11/05/simple-but-effective-one-color-card/ one step further. I am using two colors of Distress oxide inks and a Tim Holtz shifter stencil. The effect is really stunning, and the black silhouette stamping makes the colors pop even more. I really like how this card came out! If you would like to see a step-by-step tutorial of how I made this card, please head over to my channel to take a look! … Read More

Simple but effective one color card!

Hello my fellow crafters and welcome to my blog! In this blog I am making a simple card but with a high impact! Just one-color ink and a big sentiment! I am using distress ink for this card, and these tend to blend a bit blotchy. At least with me… however I do like the bright and intense color pay of these give you. And because we are using a stencil over the blended background there is nothing to worry about. I really love the simplicity of this card, and… Read More

Fun Gnome get well card

Hello fellow crafters! Today I made this fun little Gnome get well card. How cute is he! The inspiration came to me just by looking at the Lawn Fawn die set. Now, at some stage you see me struggle with blending but… it all came together in the end! I heard Gina K. mention in one of her video’s: this isn’t horrible so its good enough. Well as a perfectionist this has become my mantra! I apply the same rule as I do with my acrylic painting: if your happy… Read More

Playing with bleach, making a beautiful card

Hello fellow crafters, welcome to my blog. I had so much fun making this card! And I am still not over it how impactful, yet simple this technique is. To be honest, when I saw you could use bleach on a card, I could not wait to try it. And I will most definitely do this again in the future. I would love to try on different colors and more complicated stamps. But ok, that’s the future. Let’s look at how I made this card.  At the end of this… Read More

Retiform hello sunshine card using just stamps

Hello fellow crafters! I am going to continue the experiment with the retiform technique. In my last blog I spoke about this and this time we are taking it a step further. Now to do a quick recap, what is retiform? Retiform card is composed of crossing lines and interstice. And by all means, this is not a new technique. If you search the Internet, you can find many examples. I got inspired to do this beautiful card and I’m happy to share the result with you.  At the end… Read More
